Our cookie project went really well! They did a great job and showed me just how much they know about Missouri. There will be pictures on the blog.

Next Week:

Reading – Context clues, sequencing, and inferring are skills we will practice using the picture book Miss Rumphius. Students will also meet with a reading group.

Writing – Narrative writing will begin this week. We will go through beginning, middle, and end of a story they write.

Math – Next week students will gather data in a survey and represent the data in graphs.

Science – Measuring and identifying matter will be our focus for the next few weeks.

Spelling Words for test on Friday: brush, juice, fruit, tube, lunch, crumb, few, true, suit, pump, due, dull, tune, blew, trunk, sum, glue, threw, done, truth (Don’t forget about Spelling City on the blog!)

Homework: Please watch for highlighted notes in the assignment book next week. Our math is fluctuating quite a bit right now so I am not sure of the exact days we will have homework. I will stress to the students it must be highlighted!

Star of the Week: Student of the week this week was Aly! It was fun to see her pictures and hear about all the things she loves! We have a lot in common she loves makeup and chocolate, and so do I!
